Join us for a meditative sound practice for women. Together, we will integrate sound, conscious breathing, contemplative practice and vocalization and create an intimate and nurturing space to allow ourselves to be touched in deep and meaningful ways and focus on feminine intuition and compassion. While cultivating these qualities through meditation and sound, we will recognize the inspiring strength and power of the feminine to provide the condition for a self-enquiry process toward inner freedom and peace.
Sound will be the path to enhance the stability and vividness of our attention and expand awareness of thoughts. We will work with a variety of instruments (gongs, singing bowls, rain sticks, tuning forks, drums, chimes, amongst others) to move through mental and emotional landscapes of our consciousness. With the intent to listen without adding any conceptual overlays, we will be able to go deep inside, back to the presence where sound can help dissolve or transform obstructed energies and patterns. The play of the sensorial awareness of sound will create sense of openness, spaciousness, and receptivity in the mind and bring mindfulness of our body, feelings and mental states and processes.
These gatherings for women are not only intended to meditate, empower and celebrate womenhood in a deep, supportive, and spiritually nurturing space, but also to serve as forms of social action. They are a reminder to honor the importance of the feminine principle in approaching our world’s challenges. We gather together for the benefit of all women.
